This was a location that I wanted to go to the whole trip, but was kinda out of the way each day. On the last full day on the island we made time to make the drive down to the bottom of Waipio Canyon, which entailed an intense 4x4 road and some very steep hills. Once at the bottom, we realized that this was the best beach we had visited yet. There were only a handfull of people due to its difficult accesibility, and the views were some of the best, well worth the extra drive.
