The Superstition Mountains are about an hour from my house and one of the best scenes near Phoenix. Being at the base of the cliffs for sunrise was always a bucket list location for me. Previously in this gallery there was an image titled "Superstition Sunset" which featured a similar view with pink clouds above. This photo was taken in the same spot only 12 hours apart. I was at the mountains for a photoshoot on a Sunday night when I took "Superstition Sunset", the next morning my friend and I got up early and made the hour drive back to the Superstitions our way further up north. We made it just as the sun was lighting up the sky behind the mountain, making for a perfect, colorful start to the morning.
