One of my favorite times of year in the Phoenix Valley, the late summer monsoons bring amazing evenings filled with downpours, dust storms, and thundering storms. Standing in the middle of these storms with a camera is one of the best adrenaline rushes photography can give. Trying to shield your camera lens from rain, hold the tripod legs down from wind, and guess where the next bolt of lightning will strike... it's an amazing time.
