Nope, not photoshopped! I was seriously standing at Griffith Observatory when there wasn't a single person walking around in front of it. They opened at noon, but at 8am you're ahead of the tour busses and field trips and truely have the whole place for yourself. You can't go inside, but all the walkways and viewing platforms are open. You will also get great parking and even avoid the parking meter fee when arriving before they open.
