Taken during a calm walk through about a foot of snow in the forest of Arizona Snowbowl, this image came when a gust of freezing wind blew shelves of snow off the pine branches nearby. What looks like "sparks" or "fairy dust" is actually just blown snow catching the golden light of the late afternoon.
